Ultrasound Gel usage
The use of ultrasound gel has more to do with eliminating the power loss at the air-tissue interface.
Also used in coupling the sensor material (not metal/plastic, but the piezoelectric crystal itself) to the soft tissue.
Technical characteristics:
- Active ingredients are completely soluble in water
- Drying rate is adequately humectant so that half the moisture is lost in not less than 90 minutes at 37C with the product exposed
- Non corrosive (Salt and Chlorine free)
- Odourless
- Non sticky
- Non staining
